She came so silently
following her sister Autumn

With her first chilly breaths
she blew gently into my face

The trees had already
went into a slumber

Covering the frozen earth
in a blanket of leaves

My hooves are cold with
her first touch

And I prance around merrily
trying to keep them warm

I squeal suddenly because
I feel something light but chilly
fall on my back

As I turn there is a thin layer of
white sky water on me
